Often it’s tourism that presents the first threat to the natural landscape. But today tourism and conservation authorities faced the press hand in hand, announcing a partnership and calling together for an end to Tasmanian old-growth logging and more money and protection for various iconic natural spots around the country. Australian Conservation Foundation director Don Henry says they intend to use the coming election to make Tasmania a major issue.
