Opposition leader Tony Abbott has called for a plebiscite vote in order for Australian’s to have their say on Julia Gillard’s proposed carbon tax. Mr. Abbott says that the Prime Minister was not honest about the issue at the last election. The Greens have criticised the move as a ‘stunt’ that would cost $70-million-dollars of tax-payer’s money. However, some experts say that a collaborative approach is the only way to guarantee transparency on the issue.
