Pilbara country

Tjaabi are described as a kind of personal haiku telling of an experience, a landscape, a feeling. The indigenous tradition is being woven into a special performance to be held outdoors in remote Western Australia on August 17th.   Tjaabi springs from a long-term intercultural exchange, between different language groups – young and old, indigenous and non-indigenous, in Roebourne, the heart of the Pilbara, Western Australia. National arts for social change organsiation Big hART has produced the show.
