Debate has been raging about what exactly happened on the boat carrying 49 refugees which sank off the north coast of western Australia this morning after an explosion. WA premier Colin Barnett has caused a furore by stating that the refuges themselves set fire to the vessel, but Royal Australian Navy Rear Admiral Alan Du Toit, has refused to confirm or deny this. President of the Refugee Council of Australia, John Gibson, is skeptical.
