This week anti-logging of native forests rallies were held around the country.

One of them happened in Mullumbimby, in the Northern Rivers, asking the State government to ban the practice.

Native forest logging in New South Wales emits approximately 3.6 million tonnes of carbon every year, and the State government approves 14 000 hectares of forest logging each year.

At the rally, Former New South Wales magistrate David Heilpern called the logging corporation “a criminal organisation.”
