You couldn’t have a bigger contrast between the lifestyles of African Masai warriors and white European city folk – but this was something Swiss woman Corinne Hofmann had to face when she unexpectedly fell in love on a holiday in Kenya. Enduring the challenges of marriage and motherhood in a foreign culture, she spent four years living the Masai tribal life until things began to fall apart. Now back in Switzerland with her half-Masai daughter, she has written a book about her experiences called The White Masai. She told Annie Hastwellthe about moment she first saw her future husband in Africa.
