Discussions around Casteism have become more important than ever as the number of South Asians immigrating abroad has increased. This hierarchy is entrenched in the  Informational Technology sector and Artificial Intelligence, creating an inequitable space for Dalits.

Caste has been recognized as a form of oppression by the United Nations and also considered as a breach of  Civil Rights in the USA. AI technologies constrict the South Asian identity to an Upper Caste, Hindu, Vegetarian person and encode Carceral and work stereotypes towards the oppressed caste.
