It’s not common knowledge, but humans are trafficed illegally accross the Australian border each year, where the victims are mainly women being forced into the sex industry out of desperate poverty. Jennifer Burn, Director of the UTS Community Law Centre recently presented a report on human trafficking to the UN Convention to Eradicate Discrimination Against Women. She spoke to The Wire about her findings.
