The strength of radical religious groups in South-East Asia has diminished significantly, thanks to joint Indonesian and Australian counterterrorism efforts. That’s according to Sidney Jones, Jemaah Islamiah expert with the Brussels-based think tank, the International Crisis Group. She’s currently in Australia, and says despite successes since the Bali bombings, there is a continuing need to police extremist groups in South-East Asia.
