As part of the fallout from the federal government’s industrial relations reforms, there’s been a lot of concern raised about the prospect of foreign workers being brought in to take Australian jobs. An that issue’s been at the heart of a dispute which has taken place on the Hobart docks this week, concerning the tanker the MT Stolt. The Assistant National Secretary of the Maritime Union of Australia Mick Doleman explained the dispute, which thankfully had a happy ending today.
