The serious jitters on sharemarkets around the globe have continued today, and the Australian sharemarket continued its slide towards lows not seen since 2009 when the country was still emerging from the Global Financial Crisis.

Talk of a second global meltdown is becoming increasingly commonplace, as Europe struggles to deal with nervousness about the debt problems crippling the Greek economy.To discuss the Europe’s unstable economic situation, expert on finance and financial markets from the University of Sydney, Dr Mike Rafferty, spoke to The Wire.
