The international community is celebrating the 10th anniversary of the Rome Statute this month; the end result of intense negotiations between countries, resulting in the creation of the International Criminal Court. Doctor Helen Durham is an Australian lawyer and academic who was involved in negotiations around forming the court. A short time ago Deb Hawke spoke with Dr Durham about which countries were reluctant to get involved and what the ICC has achieved.
