University students around the country are protesting this week against the government’s decision to create a discriminatory and elitist playing field for university students. Firstly, students in business domains such as accounting, commerce and economics will face drastic funding cuts, making HECS debts an even bigger burden to bear…Secondly, students lucky enough to be able to pay their fees in full will be favoured by the government even more, leaving the smart but poor, out in the cold.
