The International Criminal Court today reached its first ever decision, ten years after it was set up. Thomas Lubanga was found guilty of the recruitment and use of child soldiers during tribal warfare in the Democratic Republic of Congo in 2002-03.With the social media circus of “Kony 2012” having just brought human rights law into the minds of millions around the world, the decision certainly came at a significant time.However, should we be singing the praises of the ICC just yet, or is there still work to do?
