Hard evidence of what the situation in Afghanistan is really like has emerged this week, with an investigative delegation having just returned. Director of the Edmund Rice Centre Phil Glendenning was part of the delegation, and spoke about the harrowing stories he discovered there. Lisa Padenin lives in the Afghan-refugee central town of Murray Bridge in South Australia, where she has helped the refugees learn English listened to their personal tales. She explained what she had heard to the Wire’s Annie Hastwell.
