The Digital Skills Organisations (DSO) has announced funding for indigenous information and communications technology provider, Goanna Education, to drive a pilot program to innovative ways to encourage more Indigenous candidates to join the STEM industry.

Goanna Education’s mission is to drive diversity in the tech sector through their 21 week virtual program which provides their candidates with the foundation to start a career in tech. This project has already received wide support online from Reconciliation NSW and the NT Government.

Chief Operating Officer from Goanna Education, Melanie Redding, spoke to Tanita Razaghi on how the course was developed to facilitate careers in data analytics within Indigenous communities.
