Celebrations broke out across the US yesterday when the Presidential Election was called for Joe Biden/Kamala Harris. Many took to the streets in celebration, praising democracy and the US public for ‘voting for the future’.

However, noisy pro-Trump demonstrators continued their protests outside counting stations over the fraud allegations suggested by Trump over the past few days. Additionally, the Trump camp have vowed to contest the Biden/Harris victory, believing they should have won the election.

If anything is clear, it is that whilst the election may be over, it is far from finished, and there will be anything but smooth sailing from here on.
