This year marks just over ten years since The Melbourne Declaration on Educational Goals for Young Australians (MCEETYA, 2008) (Melbourne Declaration) was introduced, and the Minister for Education, Dan Tehan, has called for a review, with submissions closing on Friday.
Despite support for the review, Mr. Tehan’s decision has not escaped without some criticism.
So why is the review so important, and why have some embraced the declaration’s proposed revitalisation, while others have not?
