There are 12 elections coming up in South America this year with Mexico due to go to the polls in July. The former rebel Zapatistas, led by the charismatic Subcomandante Marcos, are conducting a grassroots campaign around the country. Activist Anna Zalik says La Otra Campana is not an election campiagn but designed to make the left wing political party go more left and make a stand against privatisation and support the rights of the disaffected.
