The kids aren’t all right: UNICEF says we must invest more in world’s adolescents

UNICEF launched its flagship report The State of the World’s Children 2011 over the weekend. In it, the peak United Nations body on children’s rights says that wealthy nations must step up funding for the world’s adolescents – the vast majority of whom live in developing nations. Otherwise, the report warns, we risk saving children in early childhood only to lose them as they enter their teens. Norman Gillespie is Chief Executive of UNICEF Australia, and spoke to The Wire’s Sophie Tarr.
