Climate strike a ray of optimism amid climate despair

As crowds estimated at over 100 000 people marched in the Global Strike 4 Climate around Australia, scientists mulled over reports showing a poor outlook for the planet in the years to come.

Some scientists and researchers wonder if civil action might be too late to stop the increase of droughts and fires on land and rise in water temperatures affecting the Great Barrier Reef.

But the rise of youth participation on climate change issues, brings hope to some for possible future change.
