A week-long eye surgery blitz to be held at the Alice Springs Hospital is set to change the lives of as many as fifty people from remote communities. Beginning on the nineteenth of April, the intensive week is part of a huge collaborative effort to close the gap on vision issues in indigenous Australians. Brian Doolan, CEO of the Fred Hollows Foundation, spoke to Bridget Backhaus about the new eye health initiatives.
