Singer songwriter Shellie Morris has performed with artists as diverse as Jimmy Little, The Melbourne Symphony Orhcestra, and Indigenous supergroup The Black Arm Band. Her own music is filled with honest reflections of the struggles and growth she experiences as an Indigenous woman recovering her own cultural identity. Shellie Morris performed at Womadelaide on the weekend and talks of her musical experiences and the challenge of not knowing how to sing in your own language.
