Greens MP Adam Bandt has introduced a bill to ban cattle grazing from the Alpine National Park in Victoria, for environmental reasons. This is after the Victorian government allowed four hundred cattle to graze in Alpine National Park, as part of a trial which began earlier this year. The trial will investigate the use of cattle grazing as a tool to manage bushfires in surrounding areas. One hundred and twenty five scientists from around Australia have signed a letter, expressing their support for the ban.
