The honey bee industry is worth billions of dollars to the Australian economy. There have been claims in recent years that the world’s population of honey bees are inexplicably dying, and this threatens not only our chance to cover crumpets with the nectar, but will also potentially destroy the agriculture industry and cause world-wide famine.
