It’s Poverty Week and increasing focus on the poverty trap has forced the big banks to come up with ways to loan money to the sort of people they usually don’t want as customers. Corinne Proske is the Corporate Social Responsibility Manager at the National Australia Bank and she explained how coming up with loans like the Step Up Loan, which the bank developed in consultation with charities, forces the bank into a cultural mindshift.
