The AMA launches bullying brochures for children and GPs
Statistics show most people are bullied at some stage of their lives. The National Day of Action Against Bullying and Violence is hoping to change those stats, by raising awareness about an important issue troubling our kids.
According to The Alannah and Madeline Foundation, a national charity keeping children safe from violence, 27% of young people report they are bullied at least every two weeks.First launched in 2011, March 16 is the National Day of Action Against Bullying and Violence, which aims to raise awareness about this troubling issue.But this year, it’s not just children’s support groups and teachers involved. The Australian Medical Association has come on board, launching brochures focusing on kids and teenagers, and GPs.
