The former Prime Minister of Thailand, Thaksin Shinawatra has had his assets seized after a ruling by the country’s Supreme Court. Arguing the policies introduced during his term were aimed at benefiting his family’s company, the court has found Thaksin guilty of corruption. It’s widely perceived the ruling will increase tensions between the country’s political parties.
