Scientists are trying to make sense of the Federal government’s mixed bag of funding for science and technology following last week’s budget. While the government’s $20 billion dollar medical research fund has been celebrated, cuts to a plethora of scientific bodies, including the CSIRO and the Australian Research Council, have not been as well received.
