Tasmanian Aboriginals have used the Prime Minister’s visit this week to vent their anger over plans to de-fund Aboriginal Legal Services and open the program up for tenders. State Secretary of the Tasmanian Aboriginal Centre Trudy Maluga was one of the protesters waiting outside when the PM attended a healthy lifestyle forum in Launceston to announce the co-alition’s 116-million dollar assault on childhood obesity. Ms Maluga spoke to Rubena Colbey about the protest – and plans for another rally next week.
