Dr Colette Harmsen, a 47-year-old veterinarian, has expressed her intention to resume activism after her release from prison in Tasmania.

She was released over the weekend, having spent three months in custody following her arrest in July for her efforts to protect one of the state’s native forests.

During her release, she shared her story with Sean Oshannesy from the ‘Environmental as Anything’ Podcast on River FM, explaining the circumstances that led to her imprisonment.
