Prime Minister Julia Gillard has announced the creation of a Small Business Commissioner whose office she promises will be a one-stop-shop for business owners. The Government plans to fund both the Commissioner and tax cuts for small business through revenue from the Mining Resources Rent Tax.
The Coalition have promised to oppose anything to do with this tax, however small business owners are pleased to have better representation in Canberra.
