The Wire

We live in an age of consumerism. While waste and garbage pile up on the outskirts of cities, and resources continue to become more and more scarce, we consume as never before – with serious human and environmental consequences. In Sydney over the weekend a design exhibition – changex – addressed the issues of sustainability, environmental responsibility, social equity and community. Helene Ratner headed down to the exhibition and spoke to Karl Logge and Tessa Rapaport, two organizers of Change-Ex, and also Dr Cameron Tonkinwise, Coordinator of Design Studies at the University of Technology Sydney, and Executive Officer of Change Design.
