Sudan’s President expels foreign aid as ICC charges him for war crimes

For the first time, the International Criminal Court has issued an arrest warrant for a serving head of state. The President of Sudan, General Omar al-Bashir, is now an officially wanted man, charged with war crimes and crimes against humanity for atrocities in Darfur. The Sudanese Government has responded by expelling international aid agencies from the country, who supplied valuable food and medical aid to the country’s impoverished people. Melissa Mccollough, Sydney coordinator of the Darfur Australia network, spoke with Nick Hollins.
