Their remains were taken as ghoulish trophies and shipped back to British museums. Earlier this year the Federal Government agreed to fund a British High Court battle between the Tasmanian Aboriginal Centre and the British Natural History Museum, where some remains were kept. More good news this morning….. All legal proceedings have been dropped and all 17 sets of remains from Tasmania will finally be handed over and brought back this Monday.
