Study finds workers worse off under WorkChoices

Australians are working longer and harder for less money, a new report has found. And the Government’s WorkChoices initiative is to blame. According to Australia@Work, a study conducted by researchers at Sydney University, people who sign up to AWAs earn an average of $106 less than their counterparts on collective agreements and are in no position to negotiate their pay or position with their employer. But the Federal Government has laughed off the report, claiming that the findings are the result of union propaganda.
