Indigenous Literacy Day this year is being marked by the release of a series of nine children’s books written and illustrated by Binjari women in their first language Kriol. The release will be part of a special event at the Sydney Opera House. There are three board books, three picture books and three chapter books, including Moli det bigibigi (Molly the Pig) about a Weetbix-devouring pig, which will be available through bookshops nationally.
