In 2012, Campbell Newman promised to the community to stop expanding the coal industry because of its impact on health and the environment. It’s been a year since then, and the State government has announced it will expand coal mining. The community had planned a peaceful protest after their negative response to their petitions, but the coal mining company Aurizon, has threatened to use the legal force if it was done.

The coal trains have brought different health issues among the Queensland suburbs in Brisbane, Ipswich and Toowoomba. However, people will not stop pledging the Queensland government to act on the issue.
