As the popular ice cream brand Ben and Jerry’s has been campaigning for awareness on the potential damage the Great Barrier Reef is facing, the Queensland environment minister Andrew Powell now wants to see a boycott of the company. The reason for this is that they support a campaign from WWF the minister sees as propaganda, spreading lies that are harming the tourist industry in Queensland.
