Not since the last drought has the River Murray and its water raised so much debate and it’s bringing together some unlikely allies.

State and federal  South Australian politicians have put party lines aside in an attempt to find answers after a documentary alleged that water intended for the environment was being illegally taken by large cotton consortiums in the upper reaches of the Murray Darling Basin.
