Between 1910 and 1970, as many as one in three Indigenous children were forcibly removed from their families. These people are now known as the Stolen Generations, and this month marks the 10th anniversary of the Bringing Them Home report being tabled in parliament. This report looked into impact of the policy of removal and made 54 recommendations. Ten years the Stolen Generations believe many of these recommendations have not been implemented. In the first part of a two part report we hear the story of Brenda McDonald, a 63-year-old Indigenous women who was taken from her family in Coonabarabran in NSW when she was just eight years old.
