A controversial documentary by two young Australian film-makers called “Stolen” premiered at the Sydney Film Festival last night. However, it’s not the content drawing attention but rather accusations of inaccuracy. The film claims the main character, Fetim Sellami, was “stolen” and held as a slave in Western Sahara refugee camps for the last 33 years. Far from being a slave, Fetim is a primary school teacher, married to a Spanish engineer with children studying in Europe.
