To stay or to go – it’s a life and death decision when a bushfire threatens and there have been plenty of opinions freely given since Saturday on what people should or shouldn’t have done. But for a farmer it’s not as easy as it sounds. Alison Welch farms alpaca in Rosedale in Gippsland. The fires are still burning in her area and she’s waiting and hoping they don’t come any nearer. She’s been on alert since Saturday, and although she originally planned to flee the fire her plans have changed.
