A bold move to speak out about what underlies the decisions people make while living under the poverty line went viral and pushed Linda Tirado into the online consciousness.

Known as the person who accidentally explained poverty to a nation, Linda is now an anti-poverty activist and author of Being Poor in a Rich Country – What People Don’t Understand (published in the USA as Hand to Mouth: Living in Bootstrap America).

She is touring Australia and encouraging low-income people to speak out and challenge how they are treated, while challenging others to rethink their views.
