The news that Australia is to have its own space agency has turned attention up there- to the places satellites and space stations roam, and to the question of what such an  agency will need to do. Professor Steven Freeland is an expert in space law and is involved in the setting up process and says  legal frameworks will have to be developed to deal with things like mining and debris.
