Space junk… its getting a little bit crowded up there

South Korea recently tried again to launch a satellite into orbit, however the rocket exploded at an altitude of just 70 kilometres. Missions such as this can leave hundreds of pieces of debris in space, which seems to be turning into earths dumping ground. Thanks to us, there are now more than fifteen-thousand pieces of space junk larger that 10cm’s and more than 3,000 useless satellites. So what are we doing to clean up our backyard and reduce the pollution of our surrounding areas?
