Against Animal Cruelty senate candidates Ralph Hahnheuser and Benno Lang have chosen a rather unusual way to campaign for government – in empathy with the live exported animals they seek to protect they’ve been starving themselves for the past three weeks. They’ve been living on orange electrolyte drinks but say that starvation hasn’t affected getting their message across. They say 80% of Australians are against live animal exports and it should be a bigger election issue than it is.
