Twitter has filed a law suit against the FBI over the right to publicly disclose information about the extent of US government surveillance on its website. The social media company claims they are entitled by free speech to inform their users of the number of government requests for access to user information. This follows from the recent metadata saga in Australia. So is our right to free speech being infringed, or are tighter surveillance measures justified in the face of terrorism threats?
