The New South Wales government is looking at potentially banning the usage of smartphones on schools grounds. Social media has been the leading priority in the review, as teachers and parents have suggested that applications such as Snapchat can disrupt learning.

 

The Wire’s Mariah Lattas spoke to Professor Stephen Dobson from the University of South Australia about what the ban could mean for students and their learning.
