A medical conference in Queensland heard that the rise in levels of obesity in children are decreasing across the world. The author of a study that monitored half a million children, Dr Carol Maher from the University of South Australia, is hopeful that we may have turned a corner in the battle against a problem that affects 25 per cent of children in this country alone.
